Change brings Cheer

I have been working with boys and youngsters for quite sometime. Being in their adolescence and early adulthood, these boys and youngsters are very conscious of their physical appearance. I have noticed them constantly checking their countenance in the mirrors. Very often, it so happens that the easily available mirror is that of the bikes parked close by. When they go close to have a look at themselves, what happens all the time is that they catch hold of the mirror and change its angle in order to achieve their purpose. May be the same could be true of any of us. Though a casual event, recently I gave a serious thought to it.

There are only two options. Either to change my position (bend down a little) to suit the angle of the mirror or to change the position of the mirror to suit me . Usually we choose the latter. It means to say that even though it is such a trivial matter, we only opt to change things around us. The same becomes true in other spheres of life, wherein we are never ready to change ourselves; rather we expect others to change or adjust according to our situation and need.

Where it be trivial or significant, if we learn to change ourselves a little (unless for moral matters), life would become much more easy and comfortable. I wish that we all could enjoy such a joyful life.
